Code of Conduct
Preamble
The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these "six pillars of character."

  • I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other NRGSL event.
  • I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win.
  • I will not engage and will not encourage my child, or another person to engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  • I will not engage and will not encourage my child, or another person to engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  • I will not and will not permit my child, or encourage any other person to use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products while at any NRGSL events and will not attend, coach, officiate, or participate in any NRGSL event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • I will not engage and will not encourage my child, or any other person to engage in the use of profanity or any other offensive language.
  • I will treat and will encourage my child to treat any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee with respect.
  • I will not engage and will not encourage my child, or another person to engage in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  • I will not and will not encourage my child, or any other person to initiate a fight or scuffle, or retaliate, with any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
